Dua Lipa, aka Dua English singer and songwriter who was born on August 22 1995 in London United Kingdom. The self-titled debut album was released in 2017, after she joined Warner Bros Records. It reached the third spot on the U.K. album chart, and had eight singles, which included the U.K. top ten hit single New Rules and Be the One I.D.G.A.F. The album, which is now been certified Platinum in various nations around the globe has won two Brit Awards (in the year 2018) for British Female Single Artist and British Breakthrough act. She is the daughter of Kosovo Albanians Anesa Laxha and Dukagjin Lipa. Dua Lipa has Bosnian roots through her grandmother. Her ancestors also come from Peja, which is a Kosovo town of Peja. Two of Lipa's grandfathers were historians. Her siblings are Rina as well as Gjin. Her musical inspirations come from her father who is the lead singer and guitarist of the Kosovan Rock band Oda. While at home with her parents, her father would play his original compositions along with songs of David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa was barely five when she first began to sing. When she was in her 9th year she began singing at Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa recorded If I Ain't Got You from Alicia Keys and Beautiful by Christina Aguilera on YouTube. Lipa signed with Warner Bros. Records a agreement in 2014. The first single she released was New Love was released in August of 2015.
