Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe was raised in a mixed ethnic family. Her father is Nigerian-Swiss while her mother was English. She was born in an estate in South London council estate, and at the age of 14, attended The Brit School. It was the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is where she earned the BA in acting. She was on stage in many productions while attending school such as the role of King Henry V, as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting journey began with Storm Damage. She has since made appearances in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her breakthrough role came in 2007's Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream. It was co-starring Colin Farrell (who played the role of Cassandra) as well as Ewan McGrath. Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress, who was born into a big family. She was born to Patty and Roy Leggat. Her parents, Roy and Patty along with the four brothers of her, Brett, Todd, and Bram who were also present. Ashley lived in stadiums or baseball parks since her brothers, who were all athletic, were hockey players, baseball players, and both in the winter and summer. Ashley did not walk; instead, she would dance. At age two and half she discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley began to develop a love of dancing when she began Baby Ballet. Ashley was a top competitor in divisions in jazz, tap ballet, hip hop, Acrobatics, Lyrical Musical Theatre and pointe until she graduated from high school. Every important dance competitions, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, have awarded her the title "top soloist".
